FULL MOUTH DENTAL IMPLANT PROCEDURE
Throughout your life, conditions can sometimes cause the loss of one or more teeth, and this can cause a desire to replace missing teeth with implants or bridges. A complete oral restoration is an intensive cosmetic dental procedure specially designed to help significantly improve your smile.
There are two types of complete mouth reconstruction:
After all the teeth have been extracted, dental implants are inserted and form the basis of the reconstruction, which can be fixed bridges or implant-supported dentures.
If several teeth are missing and implants are not a suitable option, reconstruction can be performed with bridges and crowns to achieve a natural-looking cosmetic smile.
The solution to this is a combination of cosmetic and dental procedures known as full mouth implants. Procedure performed to correct the appearance between the bones, gums, teeth and muscles. It is performed on part or all the patient's teeth, depending on the severity of the complications and the desired result of the reconstruction.
The condition of your teeth will determine which restorative procedures may be necessary, such as porcelain veneers or crowns, crown-restored bridges or implants.
Periodontal (gum) tissues: If your gums are not healthy, you may need more intensive treatments by a periodontist to ensure that your newly made teeth have a solid foundation.
Gnathology: A stable bite – in which you do not feel pain when closing your mouth or chewing and does not cause wear or destruction of your teeth – is important for your overall oral health. Occlusal changes need to be considered when your dentist is planning your restorations.
Aesthetics: The color, shape, size and proportion of your teeth and how they look according to your gums, lips, mouth, side profile and face are also important factors in the treatment of complete mouth reconstruction.
